Class of Never
Alien Prom
Verse 1
Saucer over the gymnasium, green light on the floor The DJ never even looked up They took me through the ceiling like a draft When I got back the song was still the same
Chorus
Alien prom, alien prom Lost an hour, lost my shoes Alien prom, alien prom Everyone says I’m making it up but I’m bruised in a shape that’s not from here
Verse 2
They asked me questions in a language like a refrigerator Humming, patient, taking notes They said we’re only curious what it’s like I said it’s like this and showed them nothing
Chorus
Alien prom, alien prom Lost an hour, lost my shoes Alien prom, alien prom Everyone says I’m making it up but I’m bruised in a shape that’s not from here
Bridge
Take me up, take me up You can’t hurt what you can’t find Take me up, take me up I don’t remember what you did
Final Chorus
Alien prom, alien prom Lost an hour, lost my shoes Alien prom, alien prom They put me back They put me back They put me back, and no one’s noticed I’m not me
